Subject: Searching
For months there was no word from you and somehow I survived, but now that I have heard you once again, even if it only be your ghostly voice in my ear when I read your emails, it has done something to me. I can only pray this reaches you... I know you were put in great danger at the train station. If only I had found you then and seen you one more time, maybe I could have found the strength to keep doing this. Or maybe it would have broken me. If it is too dangerous for you to respond I beseech you not to, but if there is any way you can answer me without compromising yourself, I just need to hear from you again. I miss you so much, Mulder... I too begin to question my resolve to live like this. Forever yours, Dana

Dana,
Just to hear from you brings renewed strength to me. I wish more than you could ever know that we could have found each other that night... if I thought you would have been safe I would have tried to find you, but I couldn't be certain you'd be safe and I couldn't risk anything happening to you, or to William. Despite what our prearranged plans brought to pass that night, the routine still stands. And my promise does as well... just say the word and I'll come. The close call we had does not frighten me or discourage me... it brings me hope. We were so close, Dana... someday it will be. You cannot give up, both for William and for me. We both need you, and someday we'll both be with you.
Yours, Fox

I do too, Dana; but I can't come back now. It would only place you and William in greater danger... and continued communications via email threatens to endanger us as well. I hate to do this, your words bring me more comfort than you'll ever know, but I think it best we cut communications for a while... until we know that no one is listening. I'm sorry... you can't know just how sorry I am to have to say that.
Yours, Fox

Subject: Return
I know you can't come home. I told you when you left that I couldn't leave everything I knew to go with you, but I'd prefer that now to being apart. What if I came to you?
Forever Yours, Dana

.... Dana... I wish for you with me every day, but I won't ask you to give up your life. You have your mother, your brothers... there are reasons for you not to leave... I had only one (and believe me it was almost enough to live in whatever danger it entailed). I won't ask you to do this.

Subject: Stop Looking
Agent Doggett,
This is the only communication you will receive from me. All contact will be cut off after this email. I know you started looking for me when William and I disappeared two days ago, and you probably guessed what happened when you saw I'd packed for this... your guess would have been right. I can't tell you where we are. I wanted to tell you that I'm all right, and so is William... and so is Mulder. Life is full of choices, Agent Doggett... ones made freely and without regret in the knowledge that whatever must be given up is incosequential compared to what can be gained. I made one such choice. Don't come after me, and stop looking for me. You won't find us, and even if you somehow managed to it would only put our lives in danger. Thank you for everything, and don't worry about me. I'm home.
Best Regards,
Dana Scully
